Hello again,
Sorry if you have been checking the site for updates and have been dissapointed. Fortunately there hasn't been any fresh news regarding the planning application.
However we have now heard rumours that things are about to change !!
Is battle about to commence?
Residents will be aware that it had been indicated that the application
would probably be lodged with the Local Planning Authority (Wirral MBC)
at the end of July/beginning of August.
The current position is that following the initial screening application
(some months ago) - Wirral MBC indicated to the Applicant that
an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) would be required in respect
of this application. Many residents will no doubt be aware of this.
The applicants have recently requested from Wirral MBC what is called a
scoping document which sets out the various “heads” to be covered by the
EIA. That is to say the issues that would need to be dealt with in
the impact assessment e.g transport issues, drainage, pollution etc.
The Councils’ planning department is currently preparing this document, which
will be issued to the Applicant in the near future (next few weeks). The
Statutory Consultee(s) to such an application, such as the Environment
Agency have provided (or will do so) there views as to the contents of the
scoping document. Some of these responses will have already been passed
onto the Applicant. It should be assumed that they have commenced work in
respect of these issues.
It would therefore appear that the submission of the planning application to
Wirral MBC remains a few weeks off. We will of course be keeping a keen
watch on all developments and will post any new information on this site when
received.
Remember there is only one way to fight this application - Together
Your continued support for our campaign is much appreciated.
