Thank you to the hundreds of people who took time out to attend our public meeting on Wednesday. We are sorry if you ended up watching from the car park, but we trust the outdoor speakers did the trick.

Thank you to everyone who helped organize the night which was turned round in less than a week.

Special thanks to the guest speakers - Jeff Clark ( conservative MP ) and Phil Gilchrist and Tom Harney ( Lib Dems ) who I though gave an honest and balanced view on the plannimng procedure.

We are currently organising a protest march from Eastham Ferry to Eastham village sometime in July. This will hopefully end with a Barbeque at the Rugby Club ( deatils to be confirmed )We are expecting over 500 people to attend.

Any good ideas for the day, let us know.

Thanks again

Well done J.B. Very succinctly put.

I have lived in Eastham for only 35 yrs. and I have loved every year of it.

Recent events such as losing our village post office, closing of the primary school, planning consent for the karting track and most recently planning consent for Biossence Plant have given me great concern. Now we have to fight against Agri Energy's proposed plant, Duo Pipe line for Gas Storage on it's way to Northwich and a proposal for overnight stays at the Karting Track,

What are our locally elected Councillors going to do about stopping this influx of heavy industry into this once idealistic village?

Air quality, noise, traffic, visual impact, the environment are all going to suffer as a result of these proposals. Don't think for one moment that Agri Energy is the last of these proposals. There is, no doubt, more to come.

Finally CONGRATULATIONS TO easthamfightsback.co.uk for all you have achieved in the past few weeks.

KEEP UP THE FIGHT TO PRESERVE OUR VILLAGE WAY OF LIFE.
Having read Ben Chapman's House of Commons speech on Carlett Park, I wish he would speak so passionately and at such length about what really matters in Eastham and what residents really care about... their environment and their homes; the impact new industies like Biossence and Agri-energy will have on these.

Welcome
